Rosie was my sisters dog, and sadly, is no longer with us. A real-life event inspired this painting.
Rosie was watching someone eat steak; her entire focus was on the fork as it passed from plate to mouth, her head following the action in slow motion, eyes fixed on the prize, and tongue flicking out in anticipation.
The person eating (was undoubtedly cruel, they know who they are) and didn’t give her the tiniest morsel, he became known as ‘steak-boy’ and despite the fact he never fed Rosie, she would follow him around like a groupie does a boy-band.
Rosie is quite famous now, she’s on a framed canvas print in my shop, she’s the month of December in my upcoming 2027 ‘Hounds Calendar’, and on greeting cards throughout shops in the UK or you can buy online here - https://www.theartfile.com/collections/hounds
As soon as the Calendar is available for sale I’ll pop a link on the Home page 😊
