This is the first in a collection of work I call ‘Conversations with my Dog’, it’s all about capturing those looks and chats we have with our canine companions, in our head and occasionally out loud!
Each painting in this series is open to personal interpretation, but I’ll let you know my thinking behind each one.
Ollie has seen his owner start to pack their bags for a trip away, they are trying to be sneaky and are pretending to do laundry, but Ollie can see the suspicious body language, he’s smelt the bag on the bed upstairs, he knows EXACTLY what’s happening and he’s sitting here letting them know that he knows…
Some, not all, are available as framed canvas prints in the shop, if there’s one you’d like and it’s not there contact me and I can see what I can do. Ollie was in fact a commission piece so that’s an option for you too if you’d like a portrait of your own dog in this style.
