Here’s a visual guide through commissioning me to paint your pet, I’m using an example of Sunny the Golden Cocker Spaniel, who has a penchant for ducks….with his lovely owner Nichola.

FIRST STEP

We need a good photograph for me to work from, I’ll usually suggest a favourite photograph and this one works very well as it’s a high quality head shot where I can also see the expression in Sunny’s eyes. Nichola emailed this over to me along with a few others and we agreed which one to use before I got stuck in…

SECOND STEP

I draw the outline of Sunny loosely on 140lb watercolour paper, I choose the watercolour palette I’m going to use, mask out the white highlights with blue masking fluid and start painting. Each painting differs in timescale but once started they are usually completed within a week. Once I’m happy I’ll  photograph the completed painting and email you a copy to approve.

THIRD STEP

Once you’ve approved the painting, I will email you an invoice and this will detail the different options you have to pay me. UK postage and packaging is included in the price and no deposit is required.

FOURTH STEP

Once I’ve received payment I ship the painting to you asap Special Delivery in the UK and by courier Worldwide

Hopefully you will love your painting as much as Nichola did:

“OMG Jo.

I just collected the picture of Sunny.

I literally did a skippy flappy dance when I saw it.

Thank you so so much!!!”
